In Order of Endorsement Date:

The Minnesota AFL-CIO is the state federation of labor representing over 300,000 members of over 1,000 local unions throughout Minnesota.

As part of the AFL-CIO, AFSCME is one of the leading advocates for working women and men in Minnesota. We represent 13,500 members across Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota who provide the vital services that make our communities work, and we believe everyone deserves a chance to earn a living wage, good benefits, and the freedom to organize together to negotiate their terms and conditions of employment.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW Local 292

The IBEW represents approximately 775,000 active members and retirees who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. The IBEW has members in both the United States and Canada and stands out among the American unions in the AFL-CIO because it is among the largest and has members in so many skilled occupations. As union members, we bargain collectively with our employers over wages, benefits, and rights. Most of us have very limited bargaining power as one person, but as a group, we are strong. And, with a good negotiated contract, we have legal protections we would not have otherwise.
Service Employees International Union (SEIU)

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is Minnesota’s third largest and fastest-growing labor union, representing approximately 53,000 workers statewide who provide care and support for your family in your homes, hospitals, public schools, nursing homes, hotels, universities and the Twin Cities’ largest public and private buildings, and who make and distribute products used by Minnesotans every day. The SEIU Minnesota State Council coordinates the electoral, legislative and outreach work of the SEIU Locals in Minnesota to increase the effectiveness of their efforts to organize unorganized workers in critical sectors of our economy, improve wages, hours and working conditions, and build political and legislative power for all workers and their families. SEIU Locals represent members in a variety of occupations. SEIU Locals represent members in a variety of occupations, including: SEIU Healthcare Minnesota, representing approximately 35,000 workers in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and in-home care settings, including personal care attendants, certified nursing assistants, technicians, dietary aides, custodians, and many others; SEIU Local 284, representing approximately 9,000 public employees in the state’s public schools, early childhood, and university education systems, including paraprofessionals, custodians, bus drivers, clerical and food service staff, and university faculty; SEIU Local 26, representing approximately 8,000 maintenance employees and security officers in commercial, retail and public buildings throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, including at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport; and Workers United, representing approximately 1,000 hospitality, commercial laundry, manufacturing and distribution workers.
